V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.

According to President Sulyok, the Szeged Cathedral and Dome Square represent a special value in the life and thought of the nation
At the unveiling of the stele marking the declaration of the Szeged Cathedral and the square as a national memorial on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Kuno Klebelsberg, Dr. Tamás Sulyok stated that "The sky-high Cathedral and the huge square have grown dear to our hearts, the hearts of the people of Szeged." The square embodies sacredness, science and culture all at once. The height of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Hungary commands respect.
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, visited the Laser Research Centre in Szeged
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, Head of State, speaking at an event organised by the Research Students Movement, of which he is the patron, told young people visiting the ELI-ALPS Laser Research Centre in Szeged that "the Szeged Research Centre is the driving force behind the development of laser technology".
"The future is born here," emphasised Dr. Tamás Sulyok, adding that Hungary is proud that ELI-ALPS operates in our country and that scientists from many countries around the world come here to conduct their research projects.
Diplomatic event hosted by Sándor Palace showcasing Hungarian folk art
First Lady of Hungary Zsuzsanna Nagy invited the spouses of the members of the Diplomatic Corps to a cultural programme.
After the First Lady’s welcome address delivered on the stage of the Hungarian Heritage House, the guests were treated to a performance by the Forrás Folk Dance Ensemble from Százhalombatta.
After the folk dance panorama presented by the ensemble, the young dancers invited the audience to join in the dancing.

I took the train and it worked perfectly.

Bled - Ljubljana – Lendva (Lendava)
Katalin Novák came to Slovenia on an official visit at the invitation of President Borut Pahor. Due to the good personal relations between the two heads of state, they jogged around Lake Bled together before the meeting. This was done to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and daily exercise.

Visit to the border: Debrecen – Fehérgyarmat
As Commander-in-Chief of the Hungarian Defence Forces, President Katalin Novák visited one of the most exposed border sections of the country, the north-east section bordering on Ukraine and the military units stationed there and participating in the Eastern Shield 2022 mission.
The President ascertained the readiness of the soldiers and the tangible results achieved in the development of the Hungarian armed forces. The majority of the soldiers in the units serve in Hungary's largest land unit, the 5th István Bocskai Rifle Brigade of the Hungarian Defence Forces.
Riga –Three Seas Initiative Summit
Hungary’s head of state arrived in Riga at the invitation of Latvia’s President Egils Levits on 20 June 2022 to attend the Three Seas Initiative Forum.
Launched in 2015, the Three Seas Initiative aims to ensure that Europe's existing east-west transport and energy infrastructure is complemented by north-south routes as soon as possible.
19. FINA Opening of the World Aquatics Championships
„The first world record was set on land before the race even began."– said President Katalin Novák in her speech officially opening the 19th FINA Aquatics Championships in Budapest’s aquatics complex “Danube Arena”.
The President also emphasized that as the organisers had only four months to prepare for the world championships, their achievement is also a world record.
Bucharest Nine Summit – 10 June 2022
At the invitation of the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis and the President of Poland Andrzej Duda, President Katalin Novák attended the B9, i.e. Bucharest Nine, Summit, at which the participating countries condemned the Russian aggression against Ukraine in a joint declaration.
The consultations among the B9 – i.e. the four Visegrad countries, the three Baltic states and Romania and Bulgaria – were initiated by Poland and Romania in 2015 to give the NATO member states in the Central-European region an integrated representation in the Alliance.

President Katalin Novák awarded the Grand Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit to Suzuki Osamu, former President of Suzuki Motor. The investment in Esztergom thirty years ago was realised thanks to the efforts of Mr. Suzuki, and the plant is still the only European bridgehead for the Japanese company.
Katalin Novák visits Prague at the invitation of Czech President Miloš Zeman
Katalin Novák arrived in the capital of the Czech Republic at the invitation of the Czech President Miloš Zeman on 7 June 2022.
At the bilateral, friendly meeting, the heads of state discussed the most pressing challenges of the current period of conflict. They agreed that the most important thing is to speak frankly and clearly, and to maintain a firm moral stance.
They strongly condemned Russian aggression against Ukraine. They stressed that care must be taken to ensure that sanctions against Russia do not hurt those more who are on the side of peace.
