V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.

According to President Sulyok, the Szeged Cathedral and Dome Square represent a special value in the life and thought of the nation
At the unveiling of the stele marking the declaration of the Szeged Cathedral and the square as a national memorial on the 150th anniversary of the birth of Kuno Klebelsberg, Dr. Tamás Sulyok stated that "The sky-high Cathedral and the huge square have grown dear to our hearts, the hearts of the people of Szeged." The square embodies sacredness, science and culture all at once. The height of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Hungary commands respect.
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, visited the Laser Research Centre in Szeged
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, Head of State, speaking at an event organised by the Research Students Movement, of which he is the patron, told young people visiting the ELI-ALPS Laser Research Centre in Szeged that "the Szeged Research Centre is the driving force behind the development of laser technology".
"The future is born here," emphasised Dr. Tamás Sulyok, adding that Hungary is proud that ELI-ALPS operates in our country and that scientists from many countries around the world come here to conduct their research projects.
Diplomatic event hosted by Sándor Palace showcasing Hungarian folk art
First Lady of Hungary Zsuzsanna Nagy invited the spouses of the members of the Diplomatic Corps to a cultural programme.
After the First Lady’s welcome address delivered on the stage of the Hungarian Heritage House, the guests were treated to a performance by the Forrás Folk Dance Ensemble from Százhalombatta.
After the folk dance panorama presented by the ensemble, the young dancers invited the audience to join in the dancing.

That I'm here for the first time, I experienced that it is, let's say, a constructive chaos, what we experience here, and also what the traffic is concerned, it's very difficult to get from one place to the other, but I have to assure you that the Swiss trains are on time. I took the train and it worked perfectly.

Official, friendly visit to Serbia - Belgrade
In Belgrade, President of Hungary Katalin Novák was received by President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucity at the Serbia Palace, where they had a one-on-one meeting. Afterwards, the members of the Serbian and Hungarian delegations attended a plenary session, followed by a joint press conference by the two heads of state.
Katalin Novák on official visit to Bucharest
The President of Hungary was received with military honours at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest, which houses the Office of the President of Romania. The last official presidential-level meeting in the Romanian capital was held twelve years ago, in 2010. The Hungarian head of state was invited on an official visit by President of Romania Klaus Iohannis.

A baby girl was born 23 years ago. Her parents had been looking forward to her arrival and were very happy to have her next to her brother in the family. As they cared for her and watched how she was developing, they noticed that she wasn't lifting her head as she should, she wasn't turning, she wasn't developing as it was described in books about babies.

"We need young people with broad knowledge and critical thinking", said President of Hungary Katalin Novák in her opening address to the students of Corvinus University of Budapest in Várkert Bazár.
The head of state stressed that she would like universities in Hungary to consider as their main goal - in addition to the transfer of competitive knowledge - to teach and encourage critical thinking. "Become someone worth learning from, and also someone it was worth for us to learn and work for", Katalin Novák asked the students.

Pope Francis received President of Hungary Katalin Novák in a private audience at the Vatican. The almost three-quarter hour meeting between the Hungarian Head of State and the Head of the Catholic Church focused on three main topics: the Pope's visit to Hungary next year, the war in Ukraine and support for families.
„Culture brings meaning to everyday life” – President Katalin Novák at the opening ceremony of Csokonai Forum in Debrecen
The new theatre complex, named Csokonai Forum, was inaugurated on 23 August 2022 with the play „Für Elise” by the Debrecen-born writer Magda Szabó. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Hungary Katalin Novák.
In her speech, the Head of State stressed that we are fortunate to live in a country where attention is paid and resources are made available to develop culture, where there is the will not only to preserve but also to enrich what is ours.
Feast of King St Stephen, founder of the Hungarian state - Budapest - Székesfehérvár
In the presence of the President of Hungary Katalin Novák, the national flag of Hungary was raised in front of the Parliament of Hungary in Budapest on King St Stephen’s Day, the founder of our state. The flag was hoisted by the Parade Unit of the Hungarian Defence Forces to the sound of the Hungarian National Anthem on Kossuth Lajos Square.

10th anniversary celebration of the Camp Erzsébet Programme - Zánka, 15 August 2022
President Katalin Novák celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Camp Erzsébet Programme in Zánka together with the campers. Over the past decade, more than a million children have enjoyed a holiday at the church-founded camps. Young Hungarians have come to the camp at Lake Balaton not only from Hungary, but also from Erdély (Transylvania), Kárpátalja (Transcarpathia), Délvidék (in Croatia and Serbia), Felvidék (Slovakia) and Croatia.
