V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.

The votes express the democratic will of the electorate
On 9 June 2024, on the day of the elections to the European Parliament, local governments and of national minority advocates, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary and his wife cast their votes in Szeged. After the vote, the President said that since there have been free elections in Hungary, his wife Zsuzsa and he have always exercised their right to vote, and again urged his fellow citizens to vote as well.

Strengthening bilateral relations in the spirit of the Opening to the South policy
Dr. Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi, Minister of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, was received by Dr. Tamás Sulyok.
The meeting focused on bilateral economic development and energy cooperation opportunities. A common goal was set to further deepen agricultural and educational relations between Hungary and Kenya.
The Foreign Minister briefed the President on the success of Hungarian aid loan-based projects contributing to Kenya's sustainable development. He also stressed that Kenya is open to Hungarian investors.

Letters of Credence Ceremony at Sándor Palace
President Tamás Sulyok today received letters of credence from six new ambassadors accredited to Hungary.
Following a diplomatic ceremony at Sándor Palace,

- His Excellency Mihail Bârbulat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova,

Capital and County Government Commissioner of Csongrád-Csanád County at Sándor Palace
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, received László Salgó, Capital and County Government Commissioner of Csongrád-Csanád County, at Sándor Palace.

Appointment ceremony for the new Governor of the National Bank of Hungary at Sándor Palace
On a proposal by the Prime Minister, Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, appointed Mihály Varga Governor of the National Bank of Hungary.
According to the presidential resolution, the appointment will last for a period of six years, starting on 4 March 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament László Kövér and Minister of the Chancellery Gergely Gulyás.
150 years of service to law – A jubilee year in the history of the Budapest Bar Association
"When someone enters this building, the citadel of the Hungarian legal profession, whether or not they are a member of the profession, they immediately know that they are in a special place." - These were the words of the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, when he greeted the guests at the ceremony marking the 150th anniversary of the Budapest Bar Association.
The Timeless Heritage Children and Youth Folk Dance Anthology is a true success story
President of Hungary Dr. Tamás Sulyok was delighted to accept the honour of serving as the chief patron of the 35th Anniversary Gala of the Heritage National Children and Youth Folk Art Association.
22 dance ensembles presented their dance choreographies at the Erkel Theatre. All regions of Hungary were represented, and more than fifty Csángó children and young folk dancers and singers participated from Gyimes.
The historic importance and responsibility of the legal profession
The ceremonial session of the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Pest County Bar Association was held at the Royal Castle in Gödöllő.
The event, which focused on the historical roots, responsibilities and challenges of the legal profession, was also attended by President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok. One of the central themes of the event was the evolution of the legal profession, with a special focus on the year 1875, marking a turning point in Hungarian legal history.

Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, hosted the representatives of Hungary’s nationalities at Sándor Palace.
In his speech to the representatives of the Bulgarian, Greek, Croatian, Polish, German, Armenian, Roma, Romanian, Ruthenian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian minorities, the Head of State declared that nationalities are inseparable from Hungary, and their communities are inseparable from the Hungarian nation.
