The Head of State paid tribute to the victims of Hiroshima
During World War II, the first atomic bomb struck Hiroshima in August 1945. The attack claimed the lives of over 100,000 people and left deep and often unhealable wounds for generations.
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, Hungarian Head of State, bowed his head and laid a commemorative wreath at the symbolic memorial of the victims in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
After visiting the Memorial Museum, the President of Hungary said: the Hiroshima Memorial is a constant reminder of the fatal consequences of war and the irresponsible use of technology.
