V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.

The votes express the democratic will of the electorate
On 9 June 2024, on the day of the elections to the European Parliament, local governments and of national minority advocates, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary and his wife cast their votes in Szeged. After the vote, the President said that since there have been free elections in Hungary, his wife Zsuzsa and he have always exercised their right to vote, and again urged his fellow citizens to vote as well.

Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, hosted by the President of Hungary
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, received Dr. Ákos Kozma, Commissioner for Fundamental Rights, at Sándor Palace. The Commissioner is responsible for protecting fundamental rights and ensuring that the activities of public authorities do not infringe people's constitutional rights. The Office of the Commissioner for Fundamental Rights is particularly concerned with the protection of the rights of nationalities, future generations, people with disabilities and children.

President of Hungary Dr. Tamás Sulyok received Dr. Tulia Ackson, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and Speaker of the House of the United Republic of Tanzania, who is on an official visit to Hungary, for a working dinner. The President of Hungary stressed that Hungary has been a member of the IPU since its foundation 135 years ago, a supporter of the promotion of the SDGs to parliaments and one of the developers of these goals.

Dr. Tamás Sulyok received the Speaker of the Kazakh Parliament, Jerlan Kosanov, at Sándor Palace.
The President of Hungary stressed that the Central Asian country is an important strategic partner for Hungary, and we support regular summits between EU and Central Asian leaders.
During the meeting, economic and financial cooperation between the two countries, energy security, water governance and opportunities for the training of specialists were discussed.
Dr. Tamás Sulyok received the Congolese Head of State
The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who is on an official visit to Budapest, was received by Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, at Sándor Palace. Félix-Antione Tshisekedi is the first Congolese Head of State to visit Hungary.
The bilateral meeting took place in the context of the Opening to the South policy and the Africa Strategy, which aims to renew Hungary's relations with sub-Saharan countries and to conclude mutually beneficial partnership agreements.

Daren Tang and Tamás Sulyok discussed, among other issues, the growing importance of intellectual property in global economic competition.
They discussed how the challenges of the digital age, particularly the rise of artificial intelligence, are impacting the protection of intellectual works

Speech by Dr. Tamás Sulyok at the awards ceremony in honour of Hungary’s Olympic and Paralympic athletes
"I didn't feel the horrible, bone-chilling cold of the water; I just had the goal in front of me, which I wanted to achieve with all my physical and mental strength. I didn't even notice that the rope anchored in the water was chafing my chest and that the ever-louder noise of the spectators was a sign that we had swum to the finish.
In the din, words could be made out, shouting 'Zito i Ungheria!' and our flag was hoisted majestically on the highest mast of the race judges' boat.
Medal ceremony for Olympians, Paralympians and sports professionals
The Olympians and Paralympians have stood the test of strength and character at the same time, they have proven themselves in both, and thus have become our role models - emphasised Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, at the state awards ceremony held in the building of the National Assembly in honour of the athletes and sports professionals who have achieved outstanding results at the XXXIII Summer Olympic Games and the XVII Summer Paralympic Games.
