V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.
The votes express the democratic will of the electorate
On 9 June 2024, on the day of the elections to the European Parliament, local governments and of national minority advocates, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary and his wife cast their votes in Szeged. After the vote, the President said that since there have been free elections in Hungary, his wife Zsuzsa and he have always exercised their right to vote, and again urged his fellow citizens to vote as well.

Archives preserve the memory of Hungarian families, and through them, the memory of the whole nation – said President Katalin Novák on Tuesday at the Hungarian National Archives in Budapest, celebrating the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the institution.
The President of Hungary underlined: we can get closer to knowing and understanding Hungarian history by learning the stories of Hungarian families.
The national flag was raised in front of the Parliament
The honour guard of the Hungarian Defence Forces raised the national flag with military honours, to the sound of the National Anthem in front of the Parliament on Hungary’s national holiday on 15 March, in the presence of President of Hungary Katalin Novák and Speaker of the National Assembly László Kövér.
The ceremony was attended by several members of the government, as well as representatives of state and military organisations and the diplomatic corps.

President of Hungary Katalin Novák presented her appointments of generals
The President of Hungary promoted Brigadier General János Szaszák to the rank of Major-General and appointed Colonel Norbert Tajti as Brigadier-General at the proposal of Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky. The new ranks are effective as of 15 March.
As proposed by Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér, the Head of State promoted Brigadier-General Dr. Gyula Ruszkó to the rank of Police Major-General, Brigadier- General Krisztián Erdélyi to the rank of Major-General Firefighters, and appointed Colonel Imre Gyebnár Police Brigadier-General.
Katalin Novák: the Christian political alternative is a viable path for both Hungary and the State of Florida
The presentation held by the President of Hungary at Ave Maria University in South-West Florida on Wednesday focused on the role of Christians in politics, the participation of youth in public life and the significance of Hungary’s family policy.

In the capital of Florida, Katalin Novák met with one of the most popular US Republican governors, whose policies, especially child protection, have been compared to those of the Hungarian government.
