V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.

The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.

The votes express the democratic will of the electorate
On 9 June 2024, on the day of the elections to the European Parliament, local governments and of national minority advocates, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary and his wife cast their votes in Szeged. After the vote, the President said that since there have been free elections in Hungary, his wife Zsuzsa and he have always exercised their right to vote, and again urged his fellow citizens to vote as well.

Katalin Novák met with Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni in Rome
Illegal immigration, support for traditional family values, the distribution of EU funds and the Western Balkans were the topics discussed at the meeting of President of Hungary Katalin Novák and Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni in Rome on Wednesday.
During their meeting, the politicians of the two allied countries discussed four topics – the Communications Directorate of Sándor Palace told MTI on Wednesday.
According to the information provided, the first topic was illegal migration, and both politicians agreed that it must be curbed.

President of Hungary in Rome for talks
President of Hungary Katalin Novák is in Rome for talks with her Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and will meet with the President of the Senate and the President of the Chamber of Deputies – Sándor Palace told MTI on Tuesday.
The Hungarian Head of State travels to Rome at the invitation of Sergio Mattarella, where she will have a one-on-one as well as a plenary meeting with the Italian President.

President of Hungary Katalin Novák received President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on an official visit at Sándor Palace – Sándor Palace told MTI on Monday.
At the meeting, Katalin Novák explained: in the economic and energy crisis caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war, strategic partners like Azerbaijan, with which we have excellent bilateral relations, become particularly important.
President Ilham Aliyev praised the Hungarian-Azeri relations and expressed hope that cooperation on energy may intensify between the two countries in the future.
Katalin Novák: Hungary is the best friend of Western Balkan countries
Hungary is the best friend of the countries in the Western Balkans – President Katalin Novák stressed at the international press conference held at Sándor Palace with Željka Cvijanović, the incumbent Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Budapest on Monday.
Katalin Novák welcomed the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina was granted candidate status for EU membership in December 2022. This process must not slow down or stop, she added.

Dear Mr. President, dear Zorán, Ladies and Gentlemen, dear Attendees and those following us from afar,
It feels good to say we are in the European Capital of Culture. We gathered today for a dual celebration. Our hearts swell with pride, as this wonderful region of our country, i.e. Veszprém, Lake Balaton and the Bakony Hills, may come into the focus of attention for the whole of Europe.
