V4 Heads of State Summit convened by President Tamás Sulyok
Hungary, which currently holds the rotating presidency of the organisation, will host the Heads of State of the Visegrad Cooperation in Esztergom on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
Hungary consistently and continuously advocates for close cooperation between the V4 countries, which is the basis for stability, security and strengthening in the region.
The Head of State is representing Hungary at the EU-Africa Summit in Luanda
Dr. Tamás Sulyok will represent Hungary at the European Union-African Union Summit in Luanda.
Starting 24 November 2025, the President of Hungary will represent Hungary at the 7th EU–Africa Summit in the Angolan capital.
The meeting of heads of state and government aims to establish and sustain regular, ongoing dialogue on the key issues and challenges facing the countries of the two continents, linked by a strategic partnership.
At the meeting, our country will be represented by the President of Hungary for the first time in 15 years.
Meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit for Social Development
The events of recent years in global politics and the increase in the number of armed conflicts have reinforced the importance of a strong, decisive and effective organisation, said Tamás Sulyok after meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres at the Second World Summit on Social Development. According to the President of Hungary, the 80-year history of the UN is proof that multilateral diplomacy is not just a noble idea, but one of the most important international means of achieving peace, security and prosperity.
The votes express the democratic will of the electorate
On 9 June 2024, on the day of the elections to the European Parliament, local governments and of national minority advocates, Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary and his wife cast their votes in Szeged. After the vote, the President said that since there have been free elections in Hungary, his wife Zsuzsa and he have always exercised their right to vote, and again urged his fellow citizens to vote as well.

Katalin Novák received European women politicians at Sándor Palace. The President of Hungary discussed the demographic crisis in Europe and the Hungarian family policy model with members of the "Next Generation is Female" initiative.
According to Katalin Novák, demography is also a competitiveness issue. The issue will be discussed in detail at the Budapest Demographic Summit next week.
Presentation of ambassadorial credentials and letters by the Head of State at Sándor Palace
President of Hungary Katalin Novák handed over the credentials to several Hungarian ambassadors accredited abroad.
According to the official documents, the following individuals will head Hungary’s dipolomatic missions in their designated post:

- Zoltán Szentgyörgyi in Tel-Aviv,
- András Szabó in Kuwait City,
- József Rózsa in Tashkent,
- Béla Bozsik in Pristina,

Katalin Novák received the credentials of the new Australian and Irish ambassadors
President of Hungary Katalin Novák received credentials from the diplomatic representatives of two foreign countries at Sándor Palace.
With the ceremony, Ian David Grainge Biggs has become Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Commonwealth of Australia and Ragnar Almquist Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ireland, and now they can also officially begin their country's diplomatic representation in Budapest and Hungary.
Hungary to host the Three Seas Initiative meeting in 2025
Hungary will host the 2025 Three Seas Initiative Summit and Business Forum, President of Hungary Katalin Novák announced in Bucharest.
Speaking at the summit of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI), the Head of State said that economic cooperation in the region is important even in the shadow of the war in Ukraine, and welcomed the joint declaration and its statements on Ukraine.
Presentation of appointments as university professor at Sándor Palace
President Katalin Novák handed over the appointment of 123 new university professors at Sándor Palace.
The scientific and teaching activities of the new professors are a source of pride for the whole nation.

President of Hungary Katalin Novák gave a presentation to ambassadors of Hungary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Head of State summarised her diplomatic views and ideas in five points:
1. Hungary has always been and will always be a good ally. An ally that can be counted on even when times are rough. A country prepared to take risks for its allies and never breaking its word. An ally who is firm: Hungary speaks its mind, and can be counted on to do what it says and say what it means.
