Hungarian talent is boundless – 16th Carpathian Basin Talent Day
Hungarian talent mentorship is a form of nation-building, and Hungarian talent knows no bounds - President of Hungary Tamás Sulyok stressed at the 16th Carpathian Basin Talent Day in Budapest.
The Head of State stressed that the Association of Hungarian Talent Support Organisations (Matehetsz) also saw the need to place Hungarian talent support on a national basis, not separating Hungarian from Hungarian, talent from talent.
He added: the programme's coverage of the Carpathian Basin is a good symbol of this, because the Hungarian spirit has never known borders, and so Hungarian talent is also boundless. The members of the alliance also express that the future of the nation is in the hands of the whole nation, not just a part of it - said Tamás Sulyok.
"Everyone has the same responsibility for other Hungarians and for the future of Hungary, and everyone has the same obligation to use their talents, to make the best of themselves, their knowledge and their abilities", he said, adding that this is a duty, but it is a question of composure whether people are ready to fulfil their obligations.
For almost two decades, Matehetsz has been at the forefront of talent management, the Head of State reminded, adding that thanks are due to those who, year after year, expand the opportunities, seek ways of development, search for talented Hungarians and successfully find them.
"The nation is driven forward by us standing our ground every day", he stressed, adding that looking at the achievements of young talents, we stop worrying about the future, as we can see that the future of Hungary will be in good hands, and we must focus on providing them with all the help, all the tools and opportunities for their intellectual development.
Péter Bajor, the Executive Chairman of Matehetsz, said it was a special feature of talent management in the Carpathian Basin that it is implemented with the cooperation of state and civil society, and with social collaboration.
At the traditional annual Matehetsz awards ceremony, 14 young people were awarded the Discovered by Us award and 155 talent centres were presented with accreditation certificates in recognition of their institutional talent management work.
