"Let each of us do what we can for our country, for our countrymen" - Inauguration of the new headquarters of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network

We must provide opportunities and support for our scientists to stay in Hungary. This is why the renewal of the national research network, the operation of HUN-REN is a national strategic victory, and the inauguration of its headquarters a recognition of the work of its researchers," said Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, at the opening ceremony of the new headquarters of the HUN-REN Hungarian Research Network. 

In his welcome speech, the President of Hungary stressed that our researchers are looking for effective answers to the challenges of our time, thus strengthening Hungarian science and the intellectual performance of our researchers at the forefront of the world. 

"HUN-REN is committed to the closest university, public and private sector collaborations to translate our discoveries into practical solutions to accelerate scientific breakthroughs, creating innovative technologies, new and sustainable solutions that serve Hungary and all of humanity," said Balázs Gulyás, President of the Hungarian Research Network. 

The building on Alkotmány Street was designed by Alfréd Hajós; inaugurated in 1911 and recently renovated. It was the first office building in Budapest.
