UN Deputy Secretary-General at Sándor Palace
Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, hosted Tshilidzi Marwala, UN Deputy Secretary-General and Rector of the United Nations University, at Sándor Palace.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed future opportunities for the development and application of artificial intelligence, with particular regard to safeguards for cultural identity, human dignity and fundamental rights.
The talks also addressed plans for a new research and development knowledge centre in Kőszeg, Vas County, which would provide infrastructure for the local institute of the United Nations University.
The parties agreed that shaping the future of science depends on the shared vision and responsibility of lecturers, researchers and students, as well as on the establishment of cooperation networks between universities.
