Tamás Sulyok met with members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Hungary

Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, welcomed the members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Hungary to an official reception in Budapest for the first time.

In his speech, the President stressed that Hungary has been calling for a peaceful solution to the war in Ukraine from the very beginning, as a just and sustainable peace is in the common interest of all of us.

According to Tamás Sulyok, the enlargement of the European Union to the Western Balkans is essential to strengthen Europe's global role.

The Hungarian Head of State said that in recent years, the role of security has been enhanced everywhere in the world, an integral part of which is the preservation of the sovereignty of nation states and the strengthening of regional cooperation.

The President proposed to return to a culture of dialogue in international politics, to an era of cooperation and to a respect for the law and for common sense.
