Promotions to the rank of general at Sándor Palace

Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary, on a proposal by the Minister of National Economy, effective 26 January 2026, promoted

- Finance Guard Major General Tamás Demeter, Deputy President of the National Tax and Customs Administration for Criminal and Law Enforcement, to the rank of Lieutenant General, and
– Finance Guard Brigadier General Kristóf Péter Bakai, Deputy President of the National Tax and Customs Administration for Customs and International Affairs, to the rank of Major General.

The Head of State wished the new Finance Guard Generals strength, health and success in their work.
