"Let music belong to everyone!" (Zoltán Kodály)

According to President Tamás Sulyok, one of the basic requirements for excellent music education is to provide high-quality instruments and equipment for future artists to practise on.

In line with this – and in accordance with Zoltán Kodály's idea that "music should belong to everyone" – the Steinway & Sons concert piano at Sándor Palace has been made available to students at the Leó Weiner Catholic Music School under a gratuitous loan for use agreement. This piano was played during a three-day masterclass at the school by Imre Rohmann, an internationally renowned pianist and professor at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

Following the master class, the young students showcased their skills at a gala concert also attended by President Sulyok and First Lady Zsuzsanna Nagy. According to the President of Hungary, the highest standard of music education is available to everyone in Hungary, from the youngest children to students of higher education and master classes. The Head of State confirmed that the concert piano at Sándor Palace will continue to contribute to the support and development of Hungary's musical talent by serving the school and its students.
