Katalin Novák travels to Egypt and the COP28 Climate Change Conference

President Katalin Novák will begin an official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 27 November and will address the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) on 1 December.

Egypt is a key strategic partner for Hungary in the Middle East and North Africa region and plays an important role in curbing illegal migration to Europe.

During her official visit to Egypt, the President will hold talks with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Speaker Hanafy Gebaly, among others.

In addition to the diplomatic meetings, the Head of State will be received by His Holiness the Coptic Pope Tawadros II.

The United Arab Emirates is hosting the UN Climate Change Conference (COP) this year. The summit will bring together nearly 80 000 delegates, including 140 Heads of State and Government.
