Katalin Novák met with US politicians and public figures

During her visit to the United States, President Katalin Novák met with a number of politicians and public figures. Among them was the Governor of the second largest and second most populous US state, Texas, Greg Abbott, with whom the Hungarian Head of State held talks in Austin.

Texas is the engine of the US economy, so economic and energy cooperation was a key focus of the meeting. The Governor of Texas underlined that they are open to various economic cooperation projects and joint work in the automotive and aerospace sectors. The bilateral meeting also discussed ways in which Texas' advanced oil and gas industry can help meet Hungary's energy needs.

According to Katalin Novák, Texas is not only an important partner from an economic point of view, but also because it stands for the same values as Hungary, i.e. the protection of the family, traditional family values, the right of parents to raise their children, and Greg Abbott personally shares the slogan of the 5th Budapest Demographic Summit: "Family is the key to security".

During her official visit to Texas, Katalin Novák met with several American public figures of Hungarian origin, including geopolitical expert George Friedman, founder of the intelligence and strategic publishing house Stratfor, and businessman and investor Steve F. Udvar-Házy, Executive Chairman of the Board of Air Lease Corporation.
