Presentation of the Gold Medal of Merit by the President of Hungary

Tamás Sulyok bestowed the Gold Medal of Merit of the President of Hungary on Dr. Mária Janecskó, internist, anaesthesiologist, university lecturer and chief physician at the Szent János Centre Hospital in North Buda.

According to the Head of State's statement, Mária Janecskó's more than half a century of medical practice faithfully reflects all the beauty of the healing profession. Her research work as an anaesthesiologist, along with her preparedness, precision, compassion and professional dedication, enriches not only healthcare but the entire nation.

The Gold Medal of Merit of the President of Hungary may be awarded to individuals who have rendered outstanding service to the unity of the Hungarian nation, its community, or its culture.
