Hungarian diaspora students at Sándor Palace
Around fifty young people - university students with Hungarian ancestry from Brazil to Japan, the United States to Australia - were hosted at Sándor Palace. They are all studying in Budapest as part of the Diaspora Higher Education Scholarship Programme.
The students, who are studying pharmacy, psychology, biology, computer science, and communications, respectively, can improve their language skills during the programme and learn more about Hungarian culture. They have committed themselves to putting their knowledge to good use within the Hungarian diaspora.
The students were happy to share their experiences with President Tamás Sulyok. Their stories intertwined reflections on national roots, identity, and the future.
After the meeting, the Head of State wished them strength and perseverance in their endeavours.
