Honesty, Courage, Honour - Visit of the Head of State to the Szolnok garrison

The President of Hungary, Dr. Tamás Sulyok Tamás, visited the 86th Ittebei Kiss József Helicopter Base of the Hungarian Defence Forces.

The Head of State, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Hungarian Defence Forces, said that the personnel of the Szolnok garrison are clearly characterised by personal commitment, commitment to teamwork and excellent professional skills. He added that these enable our service people to carry out even the most complicated tasks.

According to Dr. Tamás Sulyok, Hungary's security is in the hands of well-prepared and dedicated personnel. 

The President of Hungary, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Hungarian Defence Forces, added: "The Szolnok garrison has the technical and human preparedness to meet the challenges of today." 

The well-trained personnel, multipurpose combat equipment and modern systems clearly showed that the force was on a solid foundation. 

The cooperation of Hungary's helicopter pilots, soldiers of the Special Operations Command, soldiers of the Territorial Defence Units and students of the National University of Public Service clearly demonstrated that there is no insurmountable obstacle for the Hungarian defence personnel. 

According to the Head of State, although they all come from different backgrounds, they all serve with the same goal: to protect Hungary's peace. 

"The capabilities of the armed forces are constantly improving, the equipment is becoming more modern, but the greatest asset is still the human being." - the Head of State said.

During his visit, the President of Hungary was briefed by the heads of the different units on the base, and then he visited a dynamic combat exercise and a static military demonstration, had lunch with the soldiers and tried out the pilot training simulators.
