The President of Hungary received the President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly

During the meeting, Tamás Sulyok and Numan Kurtulmuş agreed that Hungary and Türkiye are currently linked by a dynamically developing friendship. Hungary remains committed to cooperation based on mutual respect, and its primary goal is to further strengthen its multifaceted partnership with Türkiye in the future.

Energy security, maintaining regional stability, and combating terrorism and illegal migration are all areas in which the two countries are key partners. The strengthening of cultural relations was demonstrated by the highly successful Hungarian-Turkish cultural season in 2024.

At the meeting, the parties emphasised that the relationship between Hungary and Türkiye holds further opportunities for cooperation in the coming years, whether in the field of energy, defence or culture.
