Closing ceremony of the National Kindergarten Programme of the Reformed Church of Hungary in Kunszentmiklós

The opportunity to freely live the Christian faith is a competitive advantage in today's world, said President of Hungary Katalin Novák at the closing ceremony of the National Kindergarten Programme of the Reformed Church of Hungary in Kunszentmiklós, Bács-Kiskun County, Hungary.

In her speech, Katalin Novák expressed her gratitude for the fact that 66 Reformed kindergartens have been built or renovated throughout the country in the past four years, providing opportunities for the Reformed education of about three thousand young children.

In her speech, the President said, "I am grateful that there is someone to build for. I am grateful that there are more and more parents who want their children to go out into what is called "Life with a capital L " strengthened in faith, equipped with faith and aware of their Christian values." She added that, thanks to the Reformed kindergarten programme, parents in 24 Hungarian municipalities can now for the first time enrol their children in local Reformed kindergartens.

The President of Hungary also expressed her gratitude for the fact that in thirteen years, 1300 Reformed churches have been renovated in the Carpathian Basin and 55 new churches have been built, while "in Western Europe and everywhere in the Western world we see churches being demolished".
The Head of State added: the Reformed Church of Hungary has a leadership that is not content just to survive but wishes to thrive, and in addition to its concrete ideas it also has the ability to achieve this.

Quoting Gyula Illyés, who said that "a tree responds to the challenges of the wind with its roots", the President of the Republic said that the values that a young child encounters in kindergarten are decisive. She also pointed out that although the buildings are already in place, the bulk of the work is only just beginning.

The President of Hungary stressed that now as always, we must look upwards and give thanks to God, because His is the Country, Power and Glory.
